Willowbrook Pharmacy

Your independent pharmacy on Meadow Lane, two doors from the surgery

About & our team

Family-run on Meadow Lane since 2004. We've watched Willowbrook grow up around us, and most of our regulars still call us by name — not a queue number.

Our team

Willowbrook Pharmacy is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), the regulator for pharmacies and pharmacy professionals across Great Britain. Every member of our team named below works under that registration, and you can check any pharmacy professional’s status on the GPhC’s public register at any time — we’d always rather you checked than took our word for it.

Priya ChandrasekaranGPhC 2000001 (sample)

Superintendent Pharmacist

Priya has run the pharmacy since 2011 and leads on Pharmacy First and our contraception service. As superintendent, she's legally responsible for everything clinical that happens here — from the medicines on our shelves to how we train the team.

Tom NdiayeGPhC 2000045 (sample)

Pharmacist

Tom job-shares the clinical rota with Priya and has a particular interest in the New Medicine Service — he says the two-week check-in catches more problems than people expect.

Amara Osei

Dispensing Assistant

Amara's usually the friendly face at the dispensary hatch, checking prescriptions in and getting them ready. She's trained in accuracy checking, so she often spots queries before they reach the pharmacist.

Grace Whitfield

Pharmacy Assistant

Grace works the counter and coordinates our local delivery rounds — if your prescription hasn't turned up, she's the one to ask.

Our consultation room

Just off the shop floor, our private consultation room is where Pharmacy First assessments, New Medicine Service reviews and contraception consultations happen — the same privacy you'd expect from any healthcare appointment, not a curtained-off corner.

What is the Responsible Pharmacist?

By law, a pharmacy can only open if a Responsible Pharmacist is on duty. They're personally accountable for the safe running of the pharmacy while it's open — checking dispensing, giving advice, and stepping in on anything clinical. We display the name of the pharmacist currently responsible on a notice in the pharmacy itself, as the law requires; it changes through the day as our pharmacists' shifts change, so we don't try to keep an online version current — the in-store notice is always the accurate one.

We work closely with Willowbrook Surgery two doors along — many of our regulars are nominated straight to us the moment their GP issues a repeat.
