NHS general dentistry, plus a small range of private treatment for when you want more choice. Every price is shown here — we never ask you to call for a quote.
Check-up and examination
NHS
A full look at your teeth, gums and mouth, with advice on how often you need to come back.
£27.90
Charged as an NHS Band 1 course of treatment.
What happens
Your dentist examines your teeth and gums, takes X-rays if you need them, and talks you through anything they find before agreeing next steps with you.
Fillings
NHS
Repairing a tooth damaged by decay, using a tooth-coloured or silver amalgam filling.
£76.60
NHS Band 2 — covers one or more fillings agreed in the same course of treatment.
What happens
We numb the area, remove the decayed part of the tooth, and fill the space. Most fillings take one visit.
Tooth extraction
NHS
Removing a tooth that is too damaged or infected to save.
£76.60
NHS Band 2.
What happens
We numb the tooth and the surrounding gum, then remove the tooth. We explain aftercare and, where relevant, options for replacing it.
Root canal treatment
NHS
Treating infection inside a tooth so it can be saved rather than removed.
£76.60
NHS Band 2, whichever tooth is treated.
What happens
We remove the infected tissue from inside the tooth, clean and seal the space, usually over one or two visits.
Crowns and bridges
NHS or private
A crown covers a weakened tooth; a bridge replaces one or more missing teeth using the teeth either side for support.
£332.10 – £850
£332.10 on the NHS (Band 3); from £550 privately, depending on material.
What happens
We shape the tooth, take an impression, and fit a temporary crown or bridge while your permanent one is made in a laboratory, then fit it at a second visit.
Clear aligners
Private
Gradually straighten your teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners rather than fixed braces.
£2,200 – £3,800
Not available on the NHS for adults. Price depends on how much movement your teeth need.
What happens
We scan your teeth and plan the full course of movement, then you wear a new aligner roughly every two weeks, with check-ins every six to eight weeks.
Professional teeth whitening
Private
Lightening the natural colour of your teeth using a dentist-supervised whitening gel.
£280 – £450
Cosmetic treatment — not available on the NHS.
What happens
We check your teeth and gums are healthy enough for whitening, then either fit custom trays for home use or whiten in the surgery, depending on which you choose.
Dental implants
Private
Replacing a missing tooth with a titanium post fixed in the jaw, topped with a crown.
£2,400 – £3,200
Not available on the NHS except in rare clinical circumstances. Bone grafting, if needed, is quoted separately.
What happens
We assess your jawbone with a scan, place the implant under local anaesthetic, then fit the crown once it has fully bonded with the bone, usually after three to six months.
